On an early Wednesday morning in springtime, Jacob Fischer was working as an assistant foreman supervising bridge repairs on a deck in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Christine Dupont was driving her 2008 Kia along the U.S. Highway 50 with her 6 year old son Blake in the backseat.
