Driver fatigue causes fourth crash

STANTHORPE emergency services have been pushed to the limit this week attending their fourth traffic accident in as many days on the Granite Belt this morning.

A man was transported to the Stanthorpe hospital after running off the New England Hwy at Wrecker Lane, Severnlea at around 6.45am.

Sr Sgt Mark Ireland said preliminary investigations suggest the Warwick man fell asleep at the wheel on his way to work at Wallangarra this morning.

Driver fatigue causes four crash this week

This follows a spate of traffic accidents on Tuesday where fire and emergency crews attended three traffic accidents in the space of 12 hours across the Granite Belt.
